Geno Smith looks like he is leading the race to the starting job in New York… at least in the eyes of the media and a few anonymous players.
Rookie Geno Smith has outplayed Mark Sanchez through the first week of training camp, pulling even or perhaps ahead in the New York Jets‘ quarterback competition.
“He can do more” than Sanchez, one veteran said Wednesday, speaking on the condition of anonymity. – ESPN
Do the Jets players speak under the condition of anonymity more than any team in the league? Let me guess who this player is.. Braylon Edwards?
The Jets might as well throw the rookie in the fire. He has more potential than Sanchez and would give them the best chance to win. We will have to wait to see how they both perform in preseason.
