Chan Gailey Was Stupid Not To Use C.J. Spiller More. New Coaches Will

Tell me again why the previous Buffalo Bills coaches didn’t give C.J. Spiller the ball every chance that they could? He only gains 20 yards per carry or something close to that.

New Bills offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett says that he is going to feed C.J. the ball as much as he can.

"“It’s real simple,” Hackett said. “We’re going to give him the ball until he throws up. So he’s either got to tap out or throw up on the field. Let’s just put it that way.”"

When Hackett was asked if Spiller would be the focal point of the offense, “Hackett laughed incredulously and wondered why anybody would think otherwise.”

If that isn’t a punch in the face to former Bills coach Chan Gailey, I am not sure what is. Rephrase — You would be stupid not to.

When there is a player on the roster that can break off huge chunks of yards so often, why would you hide him on the bench? What good is he out there? Even if he doesn’t get the football while he is on the football field, he would be a threat to the defense.

Really great Chan! At least the new coaches in town know to get the ball to their play makers. Seems pretty basic. Obviously not.
