Mark Ingram On The Rise?

In the beginning of training camp, Pierre Thomas was listed at the top of the depth chart. As of late, it has been reported that Mark Ingram has been turning heads, and the most impressive at Saints camp. Ingram could be primed to have a breakout season, if he is given the opportunity to start.

With Pierre Thomas out for tonights game against the Kanas City Chiefs, Ingram will get a chance to prove why he should start. Last year for the New Orleans Saints, he posted 602 yards and 5 touchdowns. While he has been disappointing in his time in NOLA, he has never really gotten a chance to fully prove himself. With a loaded backfield of himself, Pierre Thomas, and Darren Sproles, it is hard for any running back on the roster to establish themselves. It will be interesting to see how Ingram plays tonight as it could help him earn more playing time in the regular season.
