The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are considering getting CB Darrelle Revis back on the field earlier than expected. There are thoughts of getting him back on the field for week 3 OF THE PRESEASON.

"“You don’t want to push,” Dominik said. “You want to stick with your plan. But we may want to get him on the field Week 3 of the preseason, get a few series in, get it over with, get it out of his head, so that Week One in New York he’s ready to go.” – ESPN.com"

Why would you rush an athlete back to play in the preseason? Why risk a player in a game that is meaningless? Darrelle Revis should be able to shake off any of the cobwebs in week 1 of the season. It is like riding a bike? RIGHT?

Revis injured his ACL in week 3 last season and has to sit out the entire year because of it. He has been working hard to get back on the field and his recovery has been going well, but why risk him for preseason games. Just let him recover and trot him back out there for the first game of the year. It would be stupid otherwise.
