Pittsburgh Steelers rookie RB LeVeon Bell has taken over the top spot on the running back depth chart. He was listed as the number 3 back last week and now is sharing the top spot with Isaac Redman. That is exactly where Bell should be listed on the list.
Bell is the best back on the Steelers roster. He runs hard and there should be no doubt that he enters the season lined up in the backfield with Ben Roethlisberger.
“The guys who are calling the shots are confident in me,” Bell told reporters when advised of the development, per Hensley. “It’s good motivation. I’m going to keep striving to be the best I can be. I’m going to continue to compete.” – Pro Football Talk
I am confident that Bell will be a huge upgrade for the Steelers running attack this season. Bell is going to be a force.
Bell didn’t participate in the first preseason game of the year, but he will see his first action against the Redskins this week. It will be the first chance that Steelers fans will be able to see their young rookie handle the football. It should be fun.
