The Cleveland Browns are playing some sort of game with the media. I guess there is a quarterback competition in camp that the media keeps buying into. The writing is on the wall. Brandon Weeden is the starter.
Head coach Rob Chudzinski still wants to be secretive about his choice for starter for the season:
“I’m still going to wait to name a starter,” Chudzinski explained, via The Plain Dealer’s Mary Kay Cabot. “Go through the process.” – NFL.com
I don’t know why he keeps getting asked the question. Brandon Weeden has led the team to 5 scoring drives on his 6 possessions and leads the preseason in passer rating. He has taken all the first team snaps in practice and has started every preseason game.
I don’t care what Coach says, Weeden will be the starter of this team at the beginning of the year. Let’s stop buying into this story and just accept the fact that Weeden is the starter.
I bet Aaron Rodgers salary for the year that Weeden is the starter of the Browns on week 1.
