I am not sure why the Cleveland Browns head coach dragged out this quarterback competition for so long, but it has finally come to a conclusion. To no surprise, Brandon Weeden has been named starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns.

Weeden has been strong in the preseason. He definitely has taken hold of the job in training camp and in the preseason. He likely would win MVP for the preseason, if such award existed.
Weeden should be a quarterback to consider in your fantasy football leagues. He won’t cost a high draft pick and he has a lot of potential. He fits the scheme for Norv Turner and Rob Chudzinski very well. He also has a strong running back to carry the load and take off any pressure. He should be putting up some pretty strong numbers this season.
