Miami Dolphins Release CB Richard Marshall

The Miami Dolphins have released CB Richard Marshall today. Marshall was listed as the number 1 corner opposite of Brent Grimes on the Miami Dolphins depth chart, but that looks like it needs to be changed up. Dimitri Patterson and Nolan Carroll will battle it out for that starting job.

The Dolphins avoided a $4.55 million base salary by releasing him off of the roster and he instantly becomes a free agent. I am sure there are teams that will be interested in the 5-foot-11 corner. He still has the ability to be an effective corner in the league.  Plenty of teams need corner help on their rosters. The San Diego Chargers, New Orleans Saints and Green Bay Packers all could use some help at corner. Even his former team the Carolina Panthers could use him back on defense.

I have a feeling a BIG MOVE is coming…. Freeing up alot of $$$ and cap space… Maybe a trade for a TE or O-LINE… I see it!!!

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was TE:: Fred Davis or Brent Celek.. (and/or a T or G on Oline)

Probably Brent Celek, most likely because of the depth Philly has at TE..

They are not avoiding the whole $4.55 mil. They will have to eat some dead money.. About 1.5 mil for the next 2 years..

I’m telling ya… I’m smelling a trade soon!!! I’m thinking TE Brent Celek from Philly..
