In a preseason full of injuries, most starters will not play in this preseason finale featuring the Redskins and Buccaneers.

While this game does not count towards standings, you can’t tell the guys who are on the bubble that this game is meaningless.

Here is a full breakdown of Thursday night’s game.

Where: Raymond James Stadium

When:  August 29, 2013, 7:30 PM ET

Watch: WFLA 8 (NBC – Tampa), WRC-TV 4 (NBC – Washington D.C.),

Live Stream: NFL Preseason Live

Redskins Player to Watch: Pat White

We’ve been told by Washington media that Pat White will play the whole game. It’s not clear whether he will be competing for the 3rd quarterback job, trying to beat out Rex Grossman, or whether the Redskins just want to put something on tape for other teams to see.

Perhaps White will sign with another team because of his terrific preseason. That makes him a guy to keep an eye on.

Buccaneers Player to Watch: Mike Glennon

Bucs head coach Greg Schaino said recently that Glennon will play extensively. Josh Freeman was inconsistent last season, and if he doesn’t pan out, Glennon could very possibly supplant him as the starter under center at some point this year.

Matchup to Watch: Buccaneers WRs vs. Brandon Meriweather

The Buccaneers have an above-par wide receiver group. It’s a deep group, so Washington’s secondary will be tested early.

Redskins safety Brandon Meriweather is set to play in his first game after tearing his ACL last November. We’ll see where Meriweather is at physically and mentally against this Bucs receiving corps.

Prediction

The starters, for the most part, aren’t playing. The Redskins have one of the deeper teams in the league. I believe they win this one in a sloppy but close game. Redskins 14, Buccaneers 13
