Vikings FB Jerome Felton Suspension Shouldn’t Slow Peterson Too Much

Minnesota Vikings FB Jerome Felton has been suspended by the league for 3 games. That is going to be a little bit of a blow for Peterson’s production. He still will be superhuman, but not as superhuman as he would be with a sidekick on his side.

Felton was suspended for his DUI arrest last season.

“We had him only a few weeks when that incident occurred,” Frazier said, via Bob Sansevere of the Pioneer Press. “We hadn’t had a chance to introduce him to our culture and how we do things. We’ve seen a lot of growth. That’s encouraging. I just tried to get him not to be as down and depressed as he was when we got the news and just maintain the level of consistency he has shown over the past few months: Don’t let this set you back.”

With Jerome Felton on the field, Peterson averaged over 6.3 yards per carry, otherwise he average 4.6 yards. It will be a little different, but I can’t imagine that Peterson will be slowing down much with Felton out. He still will produce and still will put up huge numbers. I wouldn’t worry about it.

It is also only 3 games. After those 3 games are up, Peterson can be running at that 6+ yard clip all over again. Just ridiculous numbers from Peterson! RIDICULOUS!
