New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez likely will not be ready for the start of the season. Sanchez hurt his shoulder last week in a preseason game while he was playing with the second team. Terrible move in hindsight. He didn’t get enough protection and busted up his shoulder.
Geno Smith started that game and played awful. It was an opportunity for Smith to steal the starting job, but his play made it seem like he was nowhere close to ready. He still ended up with the starting gig after that game anyway. Just the kind of luck the Jets have.
They can’t find a quarterback to save their life. Mark Sanchez is sadly the best option, but he can’t even get on the field right now. It is just messy.
They could always go with newly signed QB Graham Harrell. They may have to! He could be the best quarterback available for the Jets. Geno has shown nothing. Mark has no shoulder. Greg… Nevermind.
Start the Graham Harrell chant now! Soon to be followed by a new head coach.
