Geno Smith Named Starting Jets Quarterback

The New York Jets have named their starting quarterback for week 1. I wonder how long this carousel will last. This time around, Geno Smith is the starting quarterback for the New York Jets. I wonder what will happen in week 5 or 6? Will Brady Quinn be given the opportunity to start or will Mark Sanchez come back onto the field and be the starter?

For now, Geno Smith is holding down the job and will have the opportunity to keep the position if he does well. His first test will come against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and that defense. I wonder if Darrelle Revis is licking his chops? He must be excited to face off against the rookie and against his former team. I expect Revis to pick one of those errant passes off or Geno can just look the other direction for the entire game. That is what people like to do anyway to Revis Island.

It will be a tough first start for Geno, but nothing in this league will come easy.
