Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles left today’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars game early with a quad injury. Trainers took a look at him and he was on the exercise bike soon after, but he never returned to the game. We will keep an eye on his status throughout the week.

Before he left, he had 16 carries for 77 yards and a score. He also caught 3 passes for 23 yards.

The Kansas City Chiefs planned on relying on Jamaal Charles a ton this season. It seems that the injury isn’t too serious if he was trying to keep it warm on the sideline on the exercise bike. He may miss some time, but it doesn’t sound significant…. but I am no doctor.

There wasn’t much reason for Charles to return to the game. The Jaguars were only able to put a couple of points on the board. With Charles on the sideline, Knile Davis is the next man up off of the bench to take the work load.
