Patriots RB Shane Vereen Has Broken Bone In wrist

New England Patriots RB Shane Vereen broke a small bone in his wrist and will be out a few weeks. That is a tough loss for the Patriots.

Vereen came into the game yesterday and produced. He took over the running back duties after Stevan Ridley fumbled the ball away and was benched.

Vereen played most of the game with the injury, but it became numb toward the end of the game. Vereen ended the game with 101 yards rushing and 58 yards receiving.

With Vereen out, it gives Ridley another opportunity to make a good impression on Bill Belichick and the crew. He needs to hold onto that football.
