The Pittsburgh Steelers could be without LeVeon Bell for another month with his foot injury. He hurt his foot in the preseason and has not been able to practice and participate in the preseason since. With him on the sideline the Steelers have had to rely on Isaac Redman and Felix Jones in order to carry the load.
The team also re-added Jonathan Dwyer to the roster and he will be carrying some of the load as well.
Larod Stephens-Howling could have helped in the backfield, but he was lost for the year with an ACL injury. The Steelers have had a rash of bad luck in the injury department. They lost their starting center Maurkice Pouncey in the first game of the season as well.
The Steelers are hurting. They are going to need one of those running backs to step up and make plays. It will be Isaac Redman getting the first chance to carry the team, but if he falters, any of those other backs would be ready and waiting. Not sure who is the best option in that backfield right now… especially without Pouncey blocking up front.
