Houston Texans RB Ben Tate wants the football. He wants to get the rock every time in the backfield, but currently he has to split his time with Arian Foster. For this season, he will take that role as the backup running back and give Foster a rest any time he needs it or take the top spot if Foster is unable to go, but in the near future Tate will likely be looking to take his talents somewhere else.

Tate is a talented runner and could be a starting back for multiple teams in the league. He becomes a free agent at the end of the year and some teal will pay him to be that top back and he will likely put up some monster numbers for that team. He has been putting up some great numbers for the Texans when he does get an opportunity. If he could be the top back, then he could help some team’s running game become one of the best.

Let’s see how the season plays out and then we can start matching up some teams with Tate. There are teams like the San Diego Chargers, Indianapolis Colts, Oakland Raiders, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants and Arizona Cardinals that could use a running back like that right now.
