Cleveland Browns QB Brandon Weeden is expected to miss his start this weekend against the Minnesota Vikings. Weeden sprained his thumb last week and likely is having trouble handling the football. Weeden may have a sprained thumb, but the Browns have a broken offense. Coach Rob Chudzinski and OC Norv Turner have to figure out how to right the ship out there in Cleveland.
This week, the Browns will likely use Jason Campbell as their starter and hope that he can provide some life to the team. Chudzinski did say that he would consider using 3rd string quarterback Brian Hoyer also. That likely means that he is going with Campbell. Chud did wait till the last second to name Weeden his starter in the preseason also. I guess he likes to keep the defenses guessing even though there is nothing to really guess.
Weeden has already been sacked 11 times this season and could miss a couple of games with the sprained thumb. I would likely want to chill on the sideline too if I were getting hit that much. So that is how Philip Rivers felt.
