We may have gotten the Matt Flynn hype up too early. Oakland Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor may actually play on Sunday against the Washington Redskins. He is officially listed on the injury report as questionable, but he did increase his work in practice today.
“I like the progress I’ve seen,” Allen said, adding that Pryor has made “significant progress.”
Pryor has been cleared for contact and the team will test him again tomorrow to ensure that he is ok. Pryor has already passed the mandatory tests from the league though. If Pryor clears his test on Saturday, he likely will be on the field on Sunday.
Matt Flynn has taken all the first team reps this week and is prepared to start if Pryor is unable to go.
“I feel 100 percent,” Pryor said Friday, via CSN Bay Area. “The main thing is preparing and getting ready. (Flynn) had a lot more reps than me this week, but I’m going to study real hard, as if I’m going to start.”
Sure sounds like Pryor is ready to roll.
