Oakland Raiders QB Matt Flynn will get the start today against the Washington Redskins, per Adam Schefter.

Terrelle Pryor was listed as questionable after suffering a concussion last week. Pryor had cleared the mandated tests to play, but the team is going to take extra precaution before trotting him back out onto the field. Pryor admitted that he hardly remembered what happened in the game last week.

Pryor is the team’s leading rusher with 198 yards. He practice the last couple of days, but the Raiders have decided to go with Flynn.

This will be Matt Flynn’s first start since his days with the Green Bay Packers. He has been in for an interesting ride since leaving Green Bay. He joined the Seattle Seahawks last season on a 3-year deal, but was outplayed in the preseason by Russell Wilson and Wilson has become a star in the league. He then was traded to the Oakland Raiders to become Oakland’s starter, but was outplayed by Terrelle Pryor in the preseason.

Now is Flynn’s chance to show that he can be a starter in the league.
