After a trade that shocked and utterly flabergasted NFL fans, Trent Richardson looks ready to make a name for himself as an Indianapolis Colt. With 35 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries (2.7 yards per carry) versus the 49ers, Richardson wasn’t flashy, but he still got the job done. This week against the Jaguars, Richardson has a lot of potential, in part due to the abhorrent Jaguars rushing defense (allowed over 97 yards in every single game this season) and in part due to a neck injury sustained by Ahmad Bradshaw. Bradshaw impressed Colts fans last week with 95 yards and a touchdown ion 19 carries and looked like the sure-fire Colts starter in light of Richardson’s paltry 2.7 yards per carry. However, with a neck injury, Bradshaw will be out this week , thus giving Richardson the green light. Look for the former Alabaman to tear it up this Sunday.
