The Green Bay Packers received some good news on their running game on Monday. RB Eddie Lacy has cleared his concussion tests and was back on the field. He suffered a concussion in week 2 of the season.
It was the first action for Lacy on the field since being knocked out on September 15th against the Washington Redskins. He suffered a concussion after a helmet-to-helmet hit from Brandon Merriweather. Merriweather was fined $42K for the play and Lacy did not play in week 3 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
It is still unclear whether Eddie Lacy will be the starter when he returns. James Starks ran for 132 yards against the Redskins when Lacy was out. Another Packers running back, Janathan Franklin, looks like he is fine after hurting his foot in Cincinnati.
The Packers also added running back Michael Hill from the practice squad. The Packers released KR Jeremy Ross to make room for Hill on the roster.
