The Tampa Bay Buccaneers ended the drama with QB Josh Freeman and finally cut their ties. The Bucs released him on Thursday and is allowing him to find a new roster. The team was exploring trade offers for the young quarterback, but they were tired of waiting for offers.
The Buccaneers will still have to pay the remaining $6.25 million left on his salary.
Freeman was benched last week by head coach Greg Schiano for rookie QB Mike Glennon. Freeman has been help responsible for the Bucs anemic offense abd there was all kinds of other drama that surrounded him and coach Schiano.
Now that Freeman is off of the roster, it might calm down all the craziness that has been surrounded Greg Schiano and the team. The best thing to calm down the drama….. WINNING.
They need to find a way to win some games. They have a BYE this week and will allow all this madness fly through without them playing this week.
I wonder which team is willing to pick up Freeman off of the unemployment line? Maybe the Minnesota Vikings or Arizona Cardinals would like to give him an opportunity. I am sure someone will give him a shot.
