Buffalo Bills QB E.J. Manuel has suffered an LCL injury and will be out for a few weeks recovering from the injury. Manuel was injured running up the sideline on Thursday Night against the Cleveland Browns. He was trying to convert a first down and stayed inbounds to pick up more yards, but Browns DB Tashaun Gipson blasted him on the knee. As soon as Manuel went down, he grabbed his knee in pain. The injury did not look pretty, but it wasn’t as serious as it looked.

Here is Doug Marrone’s thoughts on the play:

“EJ’s a tough kid. He took a shot, he scrambled, he made a first down (and) he was trying to score a touchdown. What do you say? ‘Don’t scramble, don’t score touchdowns.’ What do you think?”

With Mauel out of the game, Jeff Tuel took over the quarterback position. Tuel will likely be the starter as long as Manuel is out. Tuel will have to step his game up.
