The Cleveland Browns lost QB Brian Hoyer for the season to an ACL injury and are handing the football over to Brandon Weeden to carry the load. One player the Browns are not interested in is former Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Josh Freeman.
Cleveland is not expected to pursue the young quarterback. The Browns plan on picking up their future quarterback in the upcoming draft or they will be giving the football to Brian Hoyer. I am sure that the Browns wanted to see a little more out of Hoyer this season to see how he could hold up in the NFL. He was off to a hot start, but would he be able to sustain the momentum.
If the Browns really want to pick up a quarterback in the upcoming draft, then picking up Josh Freeman would potentially just make things more cloudy. There are not a ton of starting opportunities for Freeman available. I don’t expect to see him starting for any team unless a significant injury happens at some point. Buffalo?
