With the injury to Oakland Raiders RB Darren McFadden, Rashad Jennings is expected to be the feature back on Sunday night vs the San Diego Chargers. McFadden injured his hamstring last week against the Washington Redskins last week.
Jennings is ready to take the football for the Raiders offense:
“I’m always ready,” Jennings said. “I’m approaching this week the same way I’ve been approaching any other. I’ll be ready for however many carries I get.” – CSN Bay Area
The San Diego Chargers rank 25th against the run and have allowed 5.24 yards per carry. He will get the favorable match-up this weekend and will look to take advantage of the defense.
Jennings has 79 yards this season and a 4.0 yard average. He has only ran the ball 20 times this season and could see 20 carries in the game against the Chargers. This is his first season with the Raiders after spending 4 seasons behind Maurice Jones-Drew with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Sunday night will be his first opportunity to start with the Oakland Raiders.
