You know the old saying, when it rains it pours? Well that statement has never been more true, just ask the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Jaguars, who are already having an atrocious season, were just dealt another serious blow. The teams first round draft pick, second pick overall, Luke Joeckel will miss the remainder of the NFL season after he suffered a high ankle fracture in a losing effort against the Rams. The injury could not have come at a worse time. Just days earlier, Jacksonville completed a trade with the Ravens to send Eugene Monroe, an offensive tackle, to Baltimore for mid-round draft picks.
It is safe to assume that the Jags have dug themselves into a hole that is too deep to get out of. At this point, it’ll be interesting to see how long it takes for Jacksonville to get their first win.
