New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski has been ruled out for this weekend’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Gronkowski didn’t jump on the plane to head out to Cincinnati and that pretty much says that Gronk is not going to play in week 5. Unless he is Superman and is going to fly over out to Cincy in a cape and will find a way to suit up… Unless that happens of course.

He was listed on the official injury report as questionable and he has been practicing on a limited basis for the Patriots. Gronkowsk could be back playing in week 6 though. With Gronkowski out for this weekend’s game, Michael Hoomanawanui and Matthew Mulligan will fill in for the tight end position with Gronkowski watching the game on his couch.

In other Patriots news, the team is very optimistic that WR Danny Amendola will be able to play this weekend. He will definitely help the team’s experience a the position with his return.
