Packers Will Be Without LB Clay Matthews For A Month

The Green Bay Packers will be without their star LB Clay Matthews for at least a month while he recovers from a fractured thumb. Didn’t that dude in Arizona lose part of his finger and only missed a week?

This is a big time loss for the Packers defense. It is always difficult to replace a talent like Matthews. Nick Perry would be a player that the team would want to step up and make plays, but he has been a disappointment so far in his career.

Matthews has had 3 sacks this season and forced a pair of fumbles already. He also has 18 tackles in the first 4 games of the season.

The Packers also lost LB Brad Jones and LB Rob Francois to injuries in week 5 against the Lions. It was a tough day for Green Bay Packers linebackers.

Next man up. Rookie Nate Palmer is the next man on the depth chart. The Packers might want to see if anyone is available in free agency to help out on defense.
