Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw Done For Year, Will Have Surgery

Indianapolis Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw has decided to undergo surgery for his injured neck and will be out for the rest of the year recovering from the injury. Bradshaw tried to rest and rehab for a couple of weeks, but he wasn’t progressing as quickly as he would have liked.

Bradshaw was running well before his injury, averaging 4.5 yards on his 41 carries. He was doing a good job in Indianapolis’ backfield.

The Colts did trade for Trent Richardson before Bradshaw went down and will clearly be the work horse for the team with Bradshaw out of the picture. Donald Brown will be the next man up on the depth chart.

Bradshaw has had issues with his feet in the past and now he has to deal with this neck injury. He is in his 7th year, but is a huge injury risk for any team that wants to give him a chance in the backfield. When he gets opportunities, he does great. He just needs to stay healthy.
