QB Geno Smith Throws 3 Touchdowns While Jets Beat Falcons

New York Jets rookie QB Geno Smith had one helluva game on Monday Night against the Atlanta Falcons. Smith completed 16-of-20 passes for 199 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Jets upset the Falcons 30-28.

Smith also ran for 21 yards in the game and didn’t turn the ball over. Geno led the team to the final drive to get the team in position for the game-winning field goal at the end of regulation.

Smith completed touchdown passes to Jeff Cumberland, Jeremy Kerly, and Kellen Winslow. It was a great game by the rookie.

The Jets are now at 3-2 and will be facing off against the winless Pittsburgh Steelers in week 6 of the season. Geno Smith could be leading the team to a 4-2 record and bring some hope for Rex Ryan and the crew for the playoffs.

It still is early in the season, but if Geno keeps putting up performances like that, then there definitely will be an opportunity to make it into the playoffs at the end of the season.
