Raiders RB Rashad Jennings Hamstring Injury Not Considered Serious

Oakland Raiders RB Rashad Jennings left Sunday night’s game early in the 2nd quarter and never returned to the field. He left with a hamstring injury, but the injury is not considered to be serious. The Raiders already have been hamstrung at the position with Darren McFadden missing time with the hamstring injury as well.

Jennings said that it was a coaches decision for him not to return and he wanted to get back onto the field. McFadden will likely be out in week 6 against the Kansas City Chiefs, so the Raiders would like to give Jennings any time he can to be at full strength to face off against the undefeated division rival.

If Jennings were out for the game, the only other options that are on the roster are Marcel Reece and Jeremy Stewart. Jennings feels that he will be able to get onto the field though:

“I do think I’ll be able to go,” Jennings said. “I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure I’m ready. You can count on that.” – CSN Bay Area
