Houston Texans TE Owen Daniels could be out for a few weeks because of a fibula injury. Daniels injured his left late in Sunday’s blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

Daniels had two MRIs on Monday and will find out more about the injury on Tuesday. It doesn’t sound like Daniels will be available for week 6 against the St. Louis Rams. If Daniels were to miss some time, Garrett Graham would be moved to the top of the depth chart and would start start for the Texans. Ryan Griffin, the team’s 6th round draft selection, would be moved up to number 2.

Daniels has 24 receptions this season for 252 yards and 3 touchdowns.

The biggest question in Houston is who will be throwing the rock around to the tight ends though. Matt Schaub is under fire for throwing touchdowns for the other team. He needs to straighten some things out or Schaub will be sitting on the sideline with Daniels.
