Adrian Peterson's 2-Year Old Son Severely Beaten By Mother's Boyfriend

Crazy story out of Minnesota. Vikings RB Adrian Peterson had been away from the team because of a family emergency and it seems that TMZ has uncovered some of the details to why Peterson is away.

Adrian Peterson’s 2-year old son is currently in critical condition in a South Dakota hospital after he was allegedly beaten by the mother’s boyfriend.

Here is a little from the report on TMZ:

Officials tell us they’ve arrested the suspect, 27-year-old Joseph Patterson … who’s been charged with aggravated felony assault and battery of an infant.

According to law enforcement, emergency responders arrived to the apartment where Peterson’s son was living at 5:46 PM on Wednesday … and found the child unresponsive.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital and medical experts determined the injuries were consistent with abuse.

Law enforcement sources tell us … the child suffered severe head injuries.

Prayers out to Adrian Peterson and to his son. This story makes me sick.

Why would you end the article with “Put the football behind and be with your son AD.” when he’s already there with his son? What you infer is uncalled for.

    • Ernie Padaon

wasnt even intending that… was more talking about this weekend for the game. but he actually is back at the facility now.

The way this article ended is bull crap. Reading “put the football behind and be with your son” infers the kid was beaten because AP plays football. abd if you dont take it in that aspect it would be taken as hes choosing football over his son either way to put that light on a man that has done nothing wrong is complete bs…

    • Ernie Padaon

didn’t even intend for people to take it like that…. edited and took that line out.

I see negativity everywhere, and I just took it as a supportive comment to AP if he does miss this weekend’s game. jeez.

I can’t even believe this :( who in their right mind beats a toddler?? And who in ANY state of mind beats Adrian Peterson’s son? Thoughts are definitely with that little boy <3

I have a feeling Adrian Peterson is going to severely beat his baby momma’s boyfriend.

    • Ernie Padaon

      was thinking the same…

Who beats up a 2 year old!?! Totally disgusting and this is why, as a single mother, my children will never be left alone with somone I’m personally involved with, you just never know!

      seriously… it is just sick!!!

When will these young people start having Christian morals and stop having children out of wedlock. Children are safest when nurtured and cared for by a family unit…I’m not a young person, and frankly never heard the term “baby mama” or “baby daddy” until these last few years. When did this become a way of life in this country?

This article had nothing to do with “Christian morals.” We could go back to the 1950s when those morals were in place, children did not have a voice, and abuse was the “norm.” Sorry. I’d rather have children deal with today’s typical family than those days.

Having children out of wedlock is the least of the problems here. There are plenty of people who grow up in abused homes where the parents are married. Out of all the Christian morals you can think of, THIS is the one you choose to state as a reason why this kid died? Are you that dimwitted? The problem here are people who lack decency and a conscience. Something that CAN be learned regardless of Christian values.

If I were the judge, I’d put this punk on one end of a football field and AP at the other. I’d then say tell that a-hole that if he can stop AP from scoring (tackling him) even once, then he can go free. He has unlimited amount of tries and must comply with NFL rules. The game ends when he gives up or dies.
