Calvin Johnson Participates In Friday Practice

Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson participated in Friday’s practice in a limited basis. He did a little more work i practice on Friday than he did for Thursday’s workout. He didn’t have his brace on his knee either. This has to be some good news for his status on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.

Johnson was a surprise scratch for the game last week and will likely be a game time decision for Sunday again. Head Coach Jim Schwartz believes that Johnson will be able to perform without much practice and he also said that Johnson excels when he isn’t feeling 100%.

The Lions will be facing the surprising Cleveland Browns this weekend. Johnson would be a big piece for the Lions to have on the field. If Johnson is not on the field, then Matt Stafford will be checking the ball down to his tight ends and running backs for the whole game. He really wouldn’t have anyone good to throw that ball out to.
