While everyone was watching the New York Giants and Chicago Bears slug it out this weekend, Jacksonville Jaguars GM Dave Caldwell and whole gang of scouts for the Jaguars were on hand to watch Louisville take on Rutgers. The Jaguars were likely scouting QB Teddy Bridgewater, who is one of the top young prospects in the nation.
Bridgewater played well, despite it being one of his poorer performances of the season. Maybe he was a little nervous performing in front of his future team. The Louisville Cardinals improved to 6-0 on the night and Bridgewater finished going 21-of-31 fir 310 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also threw an interception in the game. He still was the best player on the field and improved his touchdown to interception ratio to 18/2.
GMs for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs and Seattle Seahawks all were in attendance as well. The only team on that list that has a chance at beating out the Jaguars for Bridgewater are the Steelers, who also post a winless record, but they already have Ben Roethlisberger on their roster.
