Both teams have been successful because of their defenses. This will be a big division matchup for the Cardinals. The 49ers are expected to compete for the Super Bowl, but if the Cardinals are able to knock them off in this division matchup, it could give them some confidence going into the rest of the season.

Cardinals Player to Watch: Andre Ellington

Maybe rookie RB Andre Ellington impressed enough to get more playing time on Sunday. Last weekend, he rushed for 52 yards on 7 attempts. I wonder what he would be able to do with a larger workload. Give him a chance and see what he can do. The Cardinals had a season-best of 90 rushing yards last week, it can’t hurt to give Ellington more opportunities.

49ers Player to Watch: Frank Gore

The 49ers chances of winning increase when they lean on Frank Gore and the running game. Gore ran for 153 yards and a score in a win against the St. Louis Rams. He ran for 81 and a score in a win against the Houston Texans. On the season, Gore has 376 yards and 3 scores.

Matchup to Watch: Tramaine Brock vs Carson Palmer

Brock has been playing well for the 49ers at corner. He intercepted Matt Schaub twice last week and returned one for a score. Carson Palmer will have to keep the ball away from him. Palmer has 9 interceptions already this season.

The San Francisco 49ers are looking to win a Super Bowl and will have to win these games in the division at home in order to get there. This is a game that they should win. Frank Gore should have another good game and will lead the 49ers to victory.
