Buccaneers Claim Former Browns RB Bobby Rainey

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were in need of some depth at the runningback position after Doug Martin suffered a torn labrum in his shoulder. Martin will be sitting on the sideline for a long time and the team doesn’t want to call the injury season ending yet, but it still is a possibility.

In order to get some depth at the position, the Bucs have claimed  RB BobbyRainey. Rainey was just released by the Cleveland Browns and he spent the previous season with the Baltimore Ravens. He has 34 yards this season on the ground but he will likely see more action for the Bucs with their issues at the position.

Let’s see what he can do with some of that playing time. Some people just need an opportunity to shine. This will be his chance. He is a small back, but has a ton of quickness.
