Packers TE Jermichael Finley Has A Bruised Spinal Cord

Green Bay Packers TE Jermichael Finley went down on Sunday after taking a hit to the head from a Cleveland Browns defender. He had to leave the field on a stretcher and was taken to the ICU. Here is the diagnosis so far:

But a source did confirm that the Green Bay Packers tight end suffered a bruised spinal cord in his neck against the Cleveland Browns. He is expected to seek more medical opinions on the injury and take his time through the evaluation process.  – Milwaukee Journal-Sentinal

That is scary stuff right there. He has movement in his arms and legs and there were reports that he was walking around yesterday, there still is no status on when/if he will be back on the field this year or even after that. His son asked him to stop playing football after he suffered a concussion. I am sure he is even more worried after seeing dad go down like he did. Hope all things are good for him and his future.
