Bengals Place S Taylor Mays On IR With Dislocated Shoulder

The Cincinnati Bengals have placed S Taylor Mays onto the IR with a dislocated shoulder. That will be a blow to their depth on defense. Mays was the backup to George Iloka at strong safety and saw plenty of action on the field. He will finish this season with 19 tackles and 3 passes defended in his 8 games.

Mays is in his 4th season out of USC and will have to sit on the sideline for the rest of the year. He dislocated his shoulder against the New York Jets at the end of the first half. The Jets were just trying to run the clock out at the end of the half and gave the ball to their running back. While the team was heading to the locker room, Mays was down on the ground with the shoulder injury.

Tough way for a player to end the half and end a season.
