Ravens Released S Michael Huff and DE Marcus Spears

The Baltimore Ravens have announced that they have released veterans S Michael Huff and DE Marcus Spears today. Both players were veteran depth on the roster and both were signed in the offseason to help out on the team’s defense. I am sure that both guys will have some interest in the open market.

Michael Huff was a starter with the Oakland Raiders for 7 seasons before signing on with the Baltimore Ravens. He started one game with the Ravens, but has been depth on the roster that doesn’t get onto the field often. He has a total of 6 tackles in the first 7 games of the season. He could be some depth for someone else’s secondary fairly soon.

Marcus Spears signed on with the Ravens this season also after spending 8 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys on their defensive line. I wonder if the Cowboys would be interested in bringing him back. He likely will be depth on someone’s defensive line fairly soon also. Both guys have experience and still can play for a couple more seasons.
