I don’t know how the Kansas City Chiefs keep getting the luck of the draw with their quarterback matchups, but they get another break this week against the Buffalo Bills. It seems that the Bills will have to go with their 3rd option on offense. E.J. Manuel is out for the game and Thad Lewis likely is out this week also. The Bills will likely roll with Matt Flynn or Jeff Tuel as their starting quarterback. The Chiefs are undefeated and can only play the schedule that they are given. They get another break, but things will get real very quick. After this weekend, the Chiefs will then have to face Peyton Manning twice and Philip Rivers in the next 3 games. They better not get caught looking too far ahead, the Bills have some talent around their roster. It just depends on if their quarterback can move the football down the field.

Chiefs Player to Watch: Jamaal Charles

Jamaal Charles is the Chiefs offense. If some team can find a way to stop him, the Chiefs will not be able to move the football down the field. He gains yards in the running game and in the passing game and is a home run threat when he gets the ball in his hands. Alex Smith will look in his direction any time he can’t find a guy open down the field, which is often. Charles has had a ton of touches this season and the team needs to make sure that they don’t wear him out. He took an extra day of rest this week in practice for his knee. The team just has to play it safe.

Bills Player To Watch: Mario Williams

Mario Williams has been playing well for the Bills defense. He finally has been able to let loose since he signed the big deal with the team and he is producing. He already is in double digits with his sacks with 11 and there are a ton more games to play left in the season. He will be looking to disrupt the offense of Alex Smith and the Chiefs this time around. He has some playmakers behind him that have helped him shine.

Prediction:

Before the week had started, I thought the Bills had a good chance at pulling this game off, then Thad Lewis was sitting on the sideline for the week with some busted ribs, Lewis was never really able to get a good practice in this week and the team will likely have to rely on a different quarterback. I can’t trust either of those quarterbacks to pull off the upset, so I will have to go with the Chiefs to win their ninth straight game to start out the year. The Chiefs are hot and they are catching a ton of breaks along the way.

Chiefs 24, Bills 18
