The Green Bay Packers officially have placed TE Jermichael Finley onto the injured reserve list ending his season. Finley was injured in a game earlier this season and had to be taken off on a stretcher. He was hit by a Cleveland Browns defender and suffered a neck injury that ended his season and some fear that it could end his career.
Finley’s son already had asked his dad to quit playing football after he had seen Finley with a concussion. This injury probably put more fear in his son and could be something that makes Finley finally hang them up.
Finley wants to get back onto the field, but he is a free agent at the end of the year. It is possible that some team will give him an opportunity to get back out on the field. His days with the Packers may have come to an end though.
I just wish Jermichael a well recovery. If he chooses to get back onto the football field, then I hope that he gets out there and tears it up all over again.
