New York Giants WR Victor Cruz is not practicing on Wedneday because of a neck injury. Cruz got a stinger in Week 8 and practiced the following Monday before the BYE week, but he was not able to join the team on Wednesday. He still is feeling the effects of the stinger and will give it a little bit more rest.

“I wouldn’t call it a setback, but obviously it’s an issue,” coach Tom Coughlin said.

They are likely just giving Cruz some time to rest a little during the week. I would expect to see him back on the field on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders. Cruz has been the best player for the Giants this season. He is one of the few bright spots on offense.

If Cruz does end up on the sideline on Sunday, Reuben Randle could expect to get a lot more playing time and a lot more looks from Eli Manning.

We will have to pay attention to the practice reports during the week.
