The Minnesota Vikings and the Washington Redskins meet up in this week’s Thursday Night Football matchup. As nice as it is to have football on Thursday, the games do get a little sloppy. The Redskins are coming off of an overtime victory over the San Diego Chargers and the Vikings are coming off of a loss against the Dallas Cowboys. We will get to see these two teams mix it up on Thursday Night.

Redskins Player to Watch: Pierre Garcon

Pierre Garcon is one of Robert Griffin III favorite targets on offense. He is the main deep threat on the team and makes a ton of tough catches for the team. He will stretch the field for underneath passes over to TE Jordan Reed. He is a playmaker and should get the ball thrown in his direction often.

Vikings Player to Watch: Adrian Peterson

Nov 3, 2013; Arlington, TX, USA; Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson (28) runs the ball against Dallas Cowboys free safety Barry Church (42) and defensive end Caesar Rayford (95) in the second quarter at AT

Adrian Peterson is the main part of the Vikings offense. What else is new? The Vikings are going to use Christian Ponder as the starter and he will likely be looking to hand that football off to Peterson a number of times. Peterson will have to carry this team to victory.

Prediction:

Nov 3, 2013; Arlington, TX, USA; Minnesota Vikings fan smiles as she wears face paint and Viking horns during the game against the Dallas Cowboys at AT

With it being a Thursday Night Football game and the Vikings being at home, I will select the Vikings to steal a win in this one. Adrian Peterson will have to do a lot of work in the running game, but I think that the running game is one of the aspects in a Thursday Night game that  can still produce.
