E.J. Manuel Set To Start On Sunday

There seems to be some good news out of Buffalo today. After being injured for more than a month, Buffalo Bills rookie quarterback E.J. Manuel has officially been cleared to play and is expected to start this week against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Manuel suffered a sprained LCL on October 3rd in a Thursday Night football game against the Cleveland Browns. Yesterday, Manuel returned to practice and was yet again a full participant in today’s practice.

“Barring any setbacks, both he and Thad are ready. Obviously EJ has taken the majority of snaps, so we’re planning on him going,” head coach Doug Marrone said Thursday.

The Bills decided to select E.J. Manuel in the first round (16th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft. In his five games as the Bills starter, Manuel has five touchdown passes and three interceptions. He has also run for 91 yards on the ground.
