Giants Likely To Place David Wilson on IR

The New York Giants will likely place David Wilson on the IR today. He has been hanging out on the roster for a while, but has not been able to participate in practice or in games because of a herniated disc in his neck. Wilson was injured in Week 5 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

This will end a very disappointing season for Wilson. There were some huge expectations from the former first round pick, but the season has to end short because of the injury bug.

The Giants season has been a mess as well. The running game has been terrible. They have had to rely on Brandon Jacobs and Peyton Hillis to carry the load. What year is this?

Andrew Brown is likely to return to the lineup and that is why Wilson’s season will likely come to an end with the move to the season ending IR. Brown will add some depth to the running back position. Hopefully he can give the offense some sort of boost.
