Packers LB Clay Matthews May Return To Field On Sunday

The Green Bay Packers lost Aaron Rodgers on Monday, but they may be getting some defensive help on Sunday. Clay Matthews could be returning to the football field on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Matthews has been out for a month with a busted thumb, but they have it all wrapped up and if he is comfortable playing with a club on his hand, then he should be on the field for the Packers on Sunday. So…. I expect him to be on the field on Sunday.

Matthews is expected to participate in practice on Thursday and will test out the club on his hand. If everything goes well, he will be playing on Sunday. The Packers could use a boost on the team somewhere.  It will be tough to continue on for a few weeks without Aaron Rodgers.

The team also could have Nick Perry back on the field as well. At least the defense is going to get some love. Now, will Seneca Wallace be able to handle the offense?
