Buccaneers RB Doug Martin Placed On IR

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have finally made the move to place RB Doug Martin onto the season ending IR list today. Martin had a torn labrum in his shoulder and he was attempting to make a return later this season, but it all comes to an end today.

Martin was not having a very good year this season, but neither was anyone else on the Buccaneers roster. The Bucs are still looking for that first win of the season. They are facing off against the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night and will hope to get that first win.

With Martin on the sideline, Mike James has taken control of the starting duties for the team. He has done a good job in his opportunities. He has 28 carries against the Seattle Seahawks last weekend and finished the game with 158 yards in the game. He will be the team’s lead back for the rest of the season. The Buccaneers will have to get that first win this season without Martin.
