Jets Geno Smith Benched For Poor Performance. Will Start Again Next Week

The New York Jets benched QB Geno Smith on Sunday after he was giving out presents like Santa on Christmas. He struggled in the game against the Buffalo Bills with his turnovers and was sat down in the 4th quarter for QB Mike Simms. Smith threw 3 interceptions in the game and gave up a fumble.

I don’t even know why there would be any questions on if the Jets would be starting Geno Smith in the next game. This season is to see if Geno is the team’s starter for the future. If he fails, the team can look into someone else in the offseason.

It looks like the league is starting to find out that Geno crumbles under the pressure of the blitz. He is going to get more and more of it from other teams. The Jets will have to loosen up the defense with the running game or find a way to get the ball out quicker. Geno will get pressured.

I am done with Geno Smith, I can’t remember coach sticking with such a horrible QB for this long…put him on the practice squad and give him a shot next year. I want to see Matt Simms under center next week
