Atlanta Falcons head coach Mike Smith said that he fully expects TE Tony Gonzalez to be on the field this Thursday Night against the New Orleans Saints.

“Much more workload than he did last week. We anticipate that he’ll be ready to go,” said Smith.

Good to hear that he is feeling better and will be able to contribute to the offense on Thursday Night. The season is winding down and Gonzalez will be playing in his last couple of games of his career. It was a fun career to watch and he is one of the best to ever put the pads on.

The Falcons were expected to be competing for the Super Bowl this season, but the team has not been able to get things rolling in the right direction this season. The season has been lost and Gonzalez will have to end it without that coveted Super Bowl Championship.

Now he will be padding his stats and looking to bring in a couple more wins to the city of Atlanta.
